Smoothies are such a delicious way to start your day. They take 2 minutes to whip up and you can fit so many nutritious ingredients into one glass!
We adore this combination of blueberries and cacao for their flavour but also for its antioxidant power. Blueberries contain a long list of antioxidants which protect our bodies cells from damage and most of which can also reduce inflammation. Both of these factors mean they are an excellent addition to your diet to help prevent cardiovascular disease. What’s interesting is that blueberry consumption is linked to better health of nearly every body system! They have been shown to be protective against neuro diseases and better cognitive function. One property that we love is that there is evidence to show eating them after intense exercise can help reduce damage to your muscles! This recipe also includes a dose of some healthy fats and proteins from the almond butter, milk & chia seeds. This helps to keep you fuller for longer and reduce cravings throughout the day.
